If you mean my post, then I'll simplfy it:

Have a full hormone panel & regular blood test before any treatment.

I was referring to post number 26, I can't make head nor tail of it, your post on the other hand makes complete sense and I understand what you are saying, I think you will also find that I gave you a thanks, there is no need to get shirty ?

When I was tested in the UK, they gave me figures for Free testosterone which is supposed to be more important. My total testosterone was within the normal range but by my free testosterone was low. It is affected by another hormone called SHBG which binds to the testosterone making part of it inactive or something like that.

Being on TRT hasn't made me more horny, sadly...However if you look into Wellbutrin, that can increase libido in some people. But that's another story...

There is a Swiss doctor in Pattaya who specializes in TRT. Here is the web address for Dr. Olivier Meyer.

His site says testoviron is out of stock.  I had ordered in the past twice from him.   Very reliable and good service.  He still has Nebido but that is a time release formula that last 10 weeks in your body and is 1,000 mcg.  It needs to administered by a nurse or doctor and takes a few minutes and hurts like HELL.  I have taken it at Yoskran clinic when I am in bkk doing gym routine.  It requires a huge needle and a few minutes of time as it is very thick.  You will hurt the next day.  The yoskran clinic does the whole 9 yards full hormone panel and hcg cycle at the end etc.  It is very pricey but I am not the type to do my only injections at home and have not found a hospital or clinic that would do reliable hormone panel test.

I am from America, where TRT treatments would run 300 USD per month. Does that clarify it for you?

Even worse Khun Fred the US medical system has standardized on the gooey gel Androgel which has no effect on 20% of the patients which use it and doesn't raise test very much at all (from their website data).  And you can't get injectable test here in Chicago unless you are transitioning from FTM as I went the extra mile and saw two different doctors $175 each visit.  That was their news after checking with pharmacy at their major hub clinic.

It is available in Mexico and many people do a weekend in Puerto Vallarta.  The clinic there looked like Yoskarn clinic expensive prices keeping out the locals but a true bargain if you are USA citizen.

Problem solved, with the help of a member here I found a place in Sala Daeng with several boxes in stock. I now have enough to last me 2 years. The expiry date is 2022.

There must be a problem with supply at the moment however because I tried another very popular pharmacy in that area and they told me they didn't expect to get any new stock until next year.

If you buy it over the counter here and self inject, TRT costs you approx $10 per month... peanuts. A lot of people don't like the idea of self injecting but I now use an insulin syringe, the needle is only about 1cm long. I inject once a week about 3 inches below the hip area which is the easiest for me and completely painless.

Could you tell us what you got brand and amount!  Most test is mixed with oil and requires a much lower needle than an insulin syringe.

The brand is Bayer Testoviron, comes in a box of 20 x 1ml ampoules of 250mg each. And it will suck up into an insulin needle. Most people express surprise at this. It just takes longer to get it through, possibly 2 mins for 0.5ml. I prefer that to sticking a large needle in me. You can even sit the vials/ampoules in hot water for a few minutes beforehand to lower the viscosity.

In fact as I usually don't inject 1ml at a time, I have sometimes transferred several ampoules into a sterile vial first and then drawdown from there as and when needed.

Some people even inject testosterone subcutaneously rather than intra muscular but I wouldn't recommend it. I tried it for a few weeks then on one occasion I must have gone too shallow and there was what I assume to be an immune reaction. It developed into a blister which took months to fully heal. When you go into the muscle this never happens.

Does anyone know whether you can obtain hcg here in Thailand ? (not HGH)

Ok I just checked, my insulin syringes are 29g diameter and 12.7mm in length. But the needle is fixed to the syringe.

It would certainly be easier to buy syringes with interchangeable needles, I may do that in future. The green are 21 g and the blue 23g, normally 1 inch in length. But I've just seen a yellow 30g/ half inch is available. So I'd be tempted to suck up with the green and inject with the yellow.

In the past I used the blue and never really enjoyed the experience, I don't want a full inch in me when half will do...

Using a smaller gauge needle not only takes alot longer, but you need to apply more pressure on the plunger.

This can result in more needle movement - perhaps giving post injection discomfort, or the needle comes off the hub.

But John, you don't have to take the full length....

Maximum Performance Wellness Clinic is easily the best in Thailand ... by far. Best prices and Dr. Tim is amazing. They have premium HGH as well. Ask him about Pfizer Genotropin ????. You won't find anything of this quality anywhere else in Thailand. http://www.maximumclinic.com/

How much is it at Dr. Oliver's?  I read Maximum Performance costs 11,000 baht per month, which is a little cheaper than my current clinic, but still a little bit too pricey for my budget.  Is Dr. Oliver more expensive?  I don't know if I could afford either one in the longterm.

Also at Maximum Performance do they offer HCG?

And is there the option of doing low dose HGH combined with testosterone?

I started my TRT at Maximum Clinic in Pattaya last Autumn.  The reason was genetic low T levels (my father had this ailment and so does my son). These low levels manifested themselves in ED (not a major worry for me), but also lack of upper body muscle (which was a concern as I grow older and start shedding muscle).

I went to this clinic to get a good measurement of my baseline levels etc, and to start me off with self-injected T twice a week.  As I had a prescription, I was able to legally take the medication back with me to Burma, where I was living at the time.

Now I continue TRT under my own guidance, with blood tests every 3 months to check on my T, PSA and estradol levels.  So far, PSA and estradol are normal (PSA always a little raised due to a 25% enlarges prostrate, but no other increase in PSA after starting TRT - I have monitored my PSA levels for several years and know what is 'normal' for me ==> about 4.3).  My T level is now at the top end of levels for my age.  ED problems are all but disappeared, muscle mass increases modestly but regularly with my fitness regime - I'm very happy ????

I purchased T over the counter in Bangkok - I use the German-manufactured ampoules and have about 18 months supply with me ????

Which pharmacy did you get them at?  And how do you know if it is reliable or not?  Do the pharmacies also sell HCG and E2 blockers?  Did you have any trouble carrying such a huge supply on an airplane without a dr. script?

I have a prescription.  A 'huge' supply is 2 small boxes of ampoules.  The testosterone manufacturer is Rotexmedica GmbH from Germany and I've never had a problem.

Which pharmacy did you buy the Rotex from - how much was it?

Buying Test in Udon is not easy, & Testoviron is out of stock.

I went to see a Doc who "specialises" in hormones; 9000 for Nebido or 600 per injection (2x month) for Enanthate.

Said I'd think about it....

I seem to recall that it was the small pharmacy with the sliding door next to Raja Fashions/upstairs internet shop, just around the corner from Soi 4 Nana Plaza.  I had to show my prescription document.  I can't remember the cost, but it was nothing to be shocked at, maybe 1,500 baht for 20 ampoules.

HGH and I think also estrogen blockers cannot be legally obtained without prescription.  T preparations can.

I think he was asking about HCG not HGH. And yes I have bought that once here, but few places stock it. It's normally used by women to treat infertility, but also has the effect of increasing testicle size and activity.

I have travelled with a 2 year supply of Testosterone before, never had a problem but that's because they never saw it. I didn't put it in my hand luggage, but anyway I also have a prescription just in case.

January 26, 2019
Gentlemen:

I regret to inform you that much of the information in this thread is too dated to be of use, including the recent posts as of January 19, 2019.

In one of the January 19 posts, we are told of a store that is sure to sell Testoviron [Testo].  The post reads, "operating from memory, the store is located ..."

I just returned from a mission to the store to which we were referred.
No.
The date on the referral post itself may be recent, but how old is the writer's memory?
This is particularly relevant now since (as described below) "all change all the time."

In prior years I have indeed purchased Testo from Dr Olivier in Pattaya; from the pharmacy "between soi 22 & 23" on Sukhumvit; and the pharmacy on near Soi 4 on Sukhumvit.   All of these shops are featured on more than one post in this thread [including the post mentioned above].
Today, none of these shops have Testo.

All of them- including Dr Olivier, whose sole business [if I may simplify] is selling Testo incarnations- say the same:
don't have it now, do not know when will have it, company not supplying.
Why is the company not supplying "Everything changes all the time."

In truth, this is always accurate of course; but especially about Thailand at least over the last 30 years of my personal experience.  And especially in all things to do with medication.

I've tried the hospital route, as well- Vejithani Hospital: even at hospital prices, Testo is still far cheaper in Thailand than in my country.  But the good endocrinologist at Vej told me that he would have to verify my Testo levels; in order to do that, I would have to stop treatment and wait a period so that there was no residual Testo in my system from medication taking now- only then would the doctor consider having my blood tested.
This despite a valid Rx from my own country, where a condition was originally diagnosed
We all are aware a man's condition when he stops the medication.
In a word: screw that.

Here is where it stands as of this day,  January 26, 2019:
In Thailand, today, Testo is
-not readily available via shops
-Via hospitals, too many hoops to jump- even if you already have a valid Rx from a western country and choose to buy in Bangkok via doctor [or at least, via endocrinologist at Vej Hospital- should note that no visit to the doctor is free, regardless of the better prices here].

So-
-What are our alternatives in Thailand, then, gentlemen?  [I know, you can go to Dr Olivier for Nebido.  In the past I've tried Nebido at this doctor's office.]
-Any other suggestions?
-Hopefully, despite best efforts, I'm wrong:
Any pharmacy I've missed?
That is, any pharmacy
in which one of us within last week actually did indeed successfully buy Testo- anywhere in Thailand?

Thank you for the suggestion, Sheryl.
Hope springs eternal.
Today is Sunday.
I will try to contact Maxuimum Performance Wellness Clinic tomorrow

The first question will be: is Testoviron available at your clinic
If/When I learn
anything that seems of value, I will respond via this forum topic.

Well, since I made my last purchase of Enanthate from that pharmacy less than 3 months ago, I can say that my memory is good for at least 3 months ????

Let me re-iterate.  The pharmacy initially told me that they did not stock Enanthate ampoules.  After I showed them my prescription, their attitude completely changed and they produced boxes of the medicine from Rotexmedica, Germany.

I know that one doesn't need a prescription to purchase Enanthate in Thailand.  Perhaps that pharmacy prefers to restrict their supply to those older men with a doctor's prescription, rather than the younger muscle guys who probably are not lacking in testosterone anyway ...

Update:

If you are unable to buy in the shop, why don't you buy online?  A quick Google search found Rotexmedica 20 ampoules for 139 euros, supplied to those with a prescription....

To Sheryl:

I spoke with Maximum Performance today.  The clinic does not sell Testo per se. You must register for their monthly program.  The lady with whom I spoke suggested I come into the clinic for an eval.

I've already had eval and all pre-medication blood work.
Indeed I am just now returned from the lab in Bangkok where I have had blood drawn regularly over the last few years when in Thailand.

But thank you for the recommendation.
I am inclined to just pay the extortionate prices and buy when I return to my country- however, the medication is not dispensed in quantity in home pharmacies in 'bulk' for when I need it here.   My own difficulty at the moment is not so much price as availability.

To Simon43:
Thanks for the update.
Sorry; but I did not intend a comment directed at health of anyone's memory- but a comment directed to need for 'dates of purchase' in order for this discussion to continue to be of value.

Sorry to have overlooked your mention in a prior post that you had shown your Rx in order to buy the med at the pharmacy near Soi 4.  In truth that idea never occurred to me, though I even had the Rx with me when I entered the pharmacy just a couple days ago.

I think you'll agree that having to produce an Rx to buy an over-counter medication sounds uncharacteristic for a Thai pharmacist- to refuse a legal sale.  Unless- it is no longer legal.  I wonder if Testo's regulation in Thailand has changed.

We are told the the problem is with 'the supplier', but that may be a Thai euphemism for no longer available without a prescription.  However, Dr. Olivier [whom I visited as recently as this time last year- February, 2018] had the same response [supplier problem].  Given that dispensing medication after blood work to men who would benefit is his business , I am prepared to accept that Testo Enanthate has become unavailable in Thailand [Dr. Olivier does has other forms of Testosterone in house]

Hence my original hopeful contact with this forum.

Finally, thanks for your note that Testo may be purchased online- but this I will not do.   Perhaps I am overly suspicious, but as a personal rule I use no medication unless I can be absolutely certain of its authenticity, least of all a medication I intend to inject.  But again, thanks for taking the time to suggest.

"Testosterone is all the same, only the ester (absorption rate) is different."

I disagree.

Nebido's value [I've tried it]varies widely according to patient.

Nebido cannot be self-injected. You are married to a clinic.  Return to your country and you would need someone who knows Nebido to inject it.  Reports confirm that a nurse who gives other injections regularly will still inject Nebido incorrectly.  Please see reliably documented sites on internet.

Should price be an issue, Nebido is far more expensive on injection/time comparison.  [3-4 month injection Nebido, not counting paying for injection service, costs 8-10,000 baht; 3-4 months Testoviron at 3 weeks between injections, would for, say, 15 weeks cost maybe 1,000 baht (a quarter of a 4,000b box of 20 ampules].  By these prices, Nebido is 8-10 times more expensive than Testoviron used to be in Thailand.

'Sustenon' is known to be much more painful; it is also IM but it tears the muscle on injection, according to literature-  I've never used it but have enough problem with self-injecting already.

Cypianate is not sold in Thailand.

There are other Testosterone types available, but they are no more all alike [but for ester] than are all types of antibiotic.

Testosterone is a hormone that occurs naturally in the body.

Exogenous Testosterone is suspended in a carrier oil for injection. This carrier oil enables it to be absorbed at different rates.

Sometimes it is suspended in water, but this is if no use or interest for TRT.

Depending on this carrier, the absorption rate differs.

Nebido can be self administered, but as it's a 4 ml ampule, doing so can be awkward.

All injections, no matter what the compound, will tear the muscle.

Testoviron, which is a brand name for Testosterone Enanthate, has a half-life of approximately 14 days.

Administrating at 21 days is incorrect, as the hormone level, will not be stable.
