Police in Phetchaburi managed to get a 61 year old French woman to safety after she went on the third floor roof of a guest house and threatened to jump.

A charge was mounted and they managed to carry Djeraibi Moraine down the stairs to a waiting ambulance.

Manager reported that she was wailing uncontrollably all the way to hospital.

The manager of the guest house in Soi Bandai It in Ban Mor sub-district said that the tourist had checked in alone at the end of June.

There was no indication of trouble until she went up to a rooftop garden yesterday and threatened to throw herself off. Unable to help the situation the owner called the cops.

Police found medication for a thyroid condition in the tourist's first floor room.

The charity Samaritans is available around the clock for people who want to talk.Obviously she did not have their contact numbers.I urge immigration officers at all points of entry to attach their numbers to each immigration card?.

By the way ,I think she thought France did not win the W. cup?

We human beings are very strange creatures indeed!

IF, the lady jumped... definitely Thailand and Thai people would have been bashed unmercifully here-in and the thread would have generated 100's of posts.

Now, that the Police in Phetchaburi managed to get the 61 year old French woman to safety, not a single kudos for them!... and the thread seems very lethargic.

Long life for the lady and congratulations to the Police for another successful job done!
