Tom Jones cancels Stansted Park gig on medical grounds - hours before he's due on stage

Tom Jones left fans disappointed by cancelling his gig at Stanstead Park just hours before he was due to take the stage.

The 78-year-old singer made the decision after falling ill and being advised to rest by doctors.

Fans were told about the cancellation with a tweet posted to Tom's official account at 5pm on Wednesday.

The statement read: "It is with regret that we have to cancel Tom Jones' performance at Stansted Park this evening.

He's had a great career and still out there doing it, but might be time to enjoy a bit more of the Green Green Grass of Home.
