Police investigating the death of a 67 year old woman found at the end of a breaker at Ban Ampher beach Sattahip yesterday have not ruled out rape or murder.

Khreuawan Santirat was found by fishermen yesterday afternoon.

She was naked from the waist down with an item of red clothing worn as a lower garment near the corpse.

She had been dead at least six or seven hours.

She was covered in wounds and her face was bloodied. He neck was broken and her head was twisted round.

A fisherman said that he had seen her earlier from afar and thought it was just someone on the breakers. When she had not moved and he saw her later he contacted the Na Jomtien police who arrived on the scene.

The victim's grandson who lived with her nearby said that at 11 pm the previous evening his grandmother was walking around the area of the house.

She was described as a woman suffering from mental health conditions, possibly dementia.

Nikorn Santirat, 38, thought nothing of it and went to bed. Even when he discovered her missing later he did not think there was a problem - she had probably just gone for a walk as she often did.

He was then told that his gran had been found dead.

Pol Capt Rasita Nerapong of the Na Jomtien police investigating said that the body would undergo an autopsy and witnesses would be interviewed again.

She was not ruling out any eventuality at this stage including, rape, murder or just a falling accident.

The nature of the victim's injuries would have to be determined to come to any conclusion said Capt Rasita.

If she was found where I think it is, those rocks that make up the 2 long breakers that lots of poeple walk on are very dangerous..she could have easily lost her footing and tumbled to her death R.I.P
