Probe launched after student’s alleged ‘disciplinary’ beating at university

A probe has been launched after a student was allegedly badly beaten and suffered a ruptured spleen as part of a military-style “disciplinary” punishment by his seniors at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep.

GAZA/JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen killed an Israeli soldier along the Gaza border on Friday, said the Israeli military, which launched dozens of strikes into Gaza that killed four Palestinians, including three Hamas fighters.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he was ready to impose tariffs on all $500 billion of imported goods from China, threatening to escalate a clash over trade policy that has unnerved financial markets.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, secretly recorded a conversation with Trump before the 2016 presidential election in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Trump, the New York Times reported on Friday.

Man arrested after knife attack on German bus

BERLIN (Reuters) - A man armed with a knife attacked people on a bus in the northern city of Luebeck on Friday, injuring 10 including one seriously before he was arrested, police said, adding there was no indication he was radicalized or had a terrorist motive.

(Reuters) - Divers on Friday recovered the last of the bodies from the wreckage of a "duck boat" that sank on Thursday during a storm on a Missouri lake, counting among the 17 who died nine members of a single family.

VALENCE, France (Reuters) - World champion Peter Sagan claimed his third win of this year’s Tour de France when he prevailed on the 13th stage, a 169.5-km ride from Bourg d’Oisans on Friday. The Slovak beat Norway’s Alexander Kristoff and Frenchman Arnaud Demare, who were second and third, respectively. Briton Geraint Thomas retained the overall leader’s yellow jersey.

Sangkhla Buri district declared disaster zone




Sangkhla Buri district of Kanchanaburi province has been declared a disaster zone following heavy flooding in 10 villages and two tambon, with the only artery road leading to the district partially flooded and impassable for small cars.
