Blue, Purple Lines begin accepting state welfare cards

BANGKOK, 20 July 2018 (NNT) – Holders of state welfare cards in Bangkok and its vicinity can now use their cards to purchase tickets for the Blue and Purple Line electric train systems.

Police step up measures to stamp out informal debt in Udon Thani

UDON THANI, 20th July 2018, (NNT) - Police in Udon Thani have dispatched a caravan of officials to inspect informal loan operation venues, in a bid to eradicate the issues of informal debt and to ensure fair loans are available in the province.

Ombudsman finds overpriced food and drinks at Suvarnabhumi Airport

BANGKOK, 20th July 2018 (NNT) - The Office of the Ombudsman has conducted an inspection of the food and drink prices at Suvarnabhumi Airport and has found certain vendors to be overcharging. A warning was issued to the airport to crack down on overpriced food and drinks and blacklist violators.

CHIANG RAI (Reuters) - Memorabilia featuring a young Thai soccer team and their coach rescued from a flooded cave is flying off the shelves, said Suwit Jaipom, who heads an art gallery in the northern province of Chiang Rai, where the boys live.

Thai banking shares climb as big four's earnings beat estimates

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Banking shares in Thailand rose on Friday after the country's four biggest lenders all reported second-quarter profit that beat market estimates, as a decision to waive fees for digital transactions had a milder impact than analysts expected.
