Phuket surf danger continues, say ISLA

PHUKET: The ISLA has today (July 21) reiterated the warning it issued yesterday (July 20) that people intending to swim at beaches along Phuket’s west coast should stay between the red-yellow “Swim Here” flags – or best not go in the water at all.

Phuket croc search moves to Kata Noi, beach closed to swimmers

PHUKET: The search for crocodile previously seen swimming off Yanui and Nai harn beaches moved to Kata Noi Beach today after staff from a nearby hotel saw the aquatic reptile crawling on the beach.

Three provinces still affected by flood from “Son-tinh”




Floodings as a result of tropical storm “Son-tinh” which has weakened to a low pressure cell still wreak havoc  in three provinces — Kanchanaburi, Phichit and Nakhon Sawan, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department director-general Chayapol Thitisak said today.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Artwork, memorabilia, personal possessions and other ephemera from the collection of actor Robin Williams and his former wife Marsha will hit the auction block in October with a portion of proceeds benefiting causes they supported, Sotheby's said on Friday.

SAN DIEGO (Reuters) - The casts of television shows "Breaking Bad" and its spinoff "Better Call Saul" united at the annual Comic-Con festival in San Diego ahead of what producers teased as a screen crossover for some characters later this year.

CBS announces four-part series of short 'Star Trek' episodes

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - CBS Corp's next voyage into the "Star Trek" universe will come in the form of a four-part series of 10-to-15-minute episodes released starting this fall on the CBS All Access streaming service, the network said on Friday.

Govt’s thank-you party set for Aug 1




The government has set Aug 1 for a party to thank all the people and organizations that were involved in the operation to rescue 13 Wild Boars out of Tham Luang cave,  Prime Minister’s Office Minister Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana said today.
