Or maybe a GREAT America. Don't send back the illegal immigrants, forget the wall. Invite them in and put them to work.

that would have worked for china and arab society too. But america is proving that the ultra conservative, nationalists  are cohesive while the progressives are not and will cut off their noses to spite their faces. Trump isnt causing this, he is simply a mirror reflecting what america has become. education and expertise are condemned, gut reaction and this hilarious respect for "the school of hard knocks" is the feeling of the day! China and India and probably Europe and Russia as well are gearing up to leave little old america in the backwaters of economic growth.

You forgot wages too high, worker protection, workers not interested in low paying jobs, etc.

Man nothing in this post is true. Sometimes I just cant comprehend why you guys insist on completely inventing an alternate reality and then feel pleased about this parallel universe you just made up so that you can hope for the demise of the United States.

Capitalism and necessity drive innovation so as long as the Democrats stay far away from being the major legislative body we will be just fine. America is a massive country with an absolutely massive economy that isnt going to be crushed by the Chinese.

Free trade isnt free when the other country charges tarriffs, on top of their intellectual property theft, copyright theft, bootlegging, counterfeiting, and use of extremely low wage labor to produce terribly non-QC'd products for mass export. It isnt a level playing field, and it certainly isnt free trade.

You approach this from a position of wanting to see the USA decline, and thats fine, up to you, but if you'd rather have a wholly united Russia and China and Iran controlling world economics and trade, all because you're butthurt that the USA straight owns wherever you're from, then there is something entirely messed up in that noggin of yours, and thats entirely your problem, and luckily that will never happen.

Lmao, yeah, uh huh, its far more likely that this is the beginning of the end of the biggest democratic capitalist country the world has ever known, that has the strongest economy, strongest military, some of the best universities globally, all because.... Trump and Chinese tariffs.

Im really not sorry at all to tell you that you're going to be extremely disappointed to know that the USA has everything going for it, and is extremely well footed to both negotiate and weather the storm here.

The responsibility for the trade deficits and dependence upon China lies with the US consumer. It is that consumer who demanded low prices and accepted the accompanying poor quality. It is the US  based companies which moved their production to China, and it is the US public that looked the other way when the pollution and toxic waste created by the production poisoned and killed the Chinese. Greed and selfishness has a cost. Pay the price or change your ways.

I don't necessarily believe you, but why the conclusion that I am going to be disappointed if the USA does well?

Your constant negativity and desire for a "gotcha/told-you-so" moment combined with your defense of some of the most ridiculous and negative takes on this board regarding the topic.

Time to start dumping US treasuries!! The Chinese will unload in a big way!

you are a big Trump !!

you think the world is so easy??

dumping us tresuarys means

- big losses for chinese bcs the value shrinks, the us dollar  devalued,

-intrest in us would go up

- rezession in us  and lower export for china would leed them to rezession, both the us and china , and whats with chinese depts ?? they are hudge, and the biggest financial bubble in history ,china ,would imploed

-and whats with all the rest ..a big turmoil on the stockmarket would give the rest

forward thinking is not a stronghold  for you, your better than TRump

the fact is

The US manufacturing sector had 70% part on the BIP in the 70s, today only 16% ,a country without manufacturing cant survive in longterm.

and the world was always in anger, that the US live on depts and consumption, now trump want to change it, and the world angry again...................

a lot of trumps ideas make sense. and inminimum trump is changing something, to good or bad , is open... but thats even better, than this consesus goverments of the past
