PM concerned about flooding situation in provinces

supawadee wangsri

BAGNKOK, 20 July 2018 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha was concerned about the flooding situation and instructed relevant authorities to accelerate assistance for flood victims.

The premier said during his mission in Bhutan that he had followed the flood situation in many areas, especially the Northeast. He expressed concerns over the welfare and safety of the people including farming areas and other properties that may be damaged.

He ordered the relevant agencies such as the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the National Water Resources Office to collect information and rapidly provide assistance to the flood in order to initially relieve their suffering.

He also ordered a good water management plan in all areas in order to prevent negative impacts on people.

This area floods every year - without fail.

It happens all the time, since years ago - without fail

They act surprised every year - without fail

Same BS and nonsense concern every year - without fail

Will anything be done? - NO, without fail.

It is always a source of amusement for me to read this sort of thing.. People in high places giving orders to people in the Interior, Agriculture and Water Management Ministries. These people are paid to manage all aspects of water resources come drought or flood, it is their everyday job. In this case it is the PM faffing about something that should be quite obvious to those concerned.

Hello Mr Prayut it rains every year, there should be water management plan already in operation.

The man is priceless, he should be on the stage best comedian around at the moment.

Everyone here realizes this is an ongoing problem. So does the PM just not care enough to implement a long term plan to prevent the flooding, or is he not capable of managing a plan, or does he just prefer to look like he cares about the residents at this time of year and assumes no one is smart enough to realize that there are 12 months in a year and all of them should be used to work on a permanent solution?

There's no fun being PM if you can't get to order people to do things. No matter how bloody obvious they are.
