Big Joke at the double - arrests two drug dealers and mountain of evidence worth 65 million baht

The Thai Tourist Police Bureau website reported on the latest activities of their star man - Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal.

 

The deputy commissioner of the tourist police who has arrested everyone from call center gangs to tuk-tuk rip off artists in recent months was involved in the latest bust of two drug dealers in Pathum Thani.

 

Officers had gone to an address in the Klong Prachakorn area of Muang district Pathum Thani, said Surachet. 

 

On arrival a Yaris car sped out and a chase ensued. The car raced off towards Rangsit and shots were fired before the car hit a barrier.

 

The suspects were later arrested. 

 

In the car and at the house were found a large cache of drugs that included 31.5 kilos of "ice" methamphetamine, 2,000 Ya Ba pills and seven kilos of ketamine. Also taken into evidence were three cars, a motorcycle and a gun. 

 

The total haul was worth 65 million baht. 

 

A notable feature of the case was the way some of the drugs were being distributed. 

 

They were being hidden in phials used as contact lens cases.

When just two very end of the line street dealer guys have 65 MILLION baht worth of drugs on them,  you don't look at the bust as a success,  you look at the entire war as an abject failure. 

Chances are,  this was not a 'member of the public' tip off. Those dozy buggers wouldn't know how to spot dealers or sniff out drugs if they were up them in a condom. 

Likely a turf war.  Why whack your enemies and risk retaliation or arrest when You can just snitch,  then the flics will do your dirty work getting rid of the competition for you.  

That's what's really going on here people...
