Such a sad way to go. Alone and on the floor, in a Pattaya beer bar area. Wow. Many of us can only hope we do not meet the same fate. Since I am such a light drinker, I kind of doubt it, but kind of a sobering thought. Probably a heart attack. And probably a good idea to always carry ID.

agree. the way to go is at a patpong dart show getting a dart shot straight into the eyeball

I gather you mean, a sad reflection on what Thai society have become, sad part about it is, its always been that way, in other words if this was in a western country, I am 99.9% certain passers by would have checked in on him more earlier that 2 hours or at least called for some support group or police to attend much earlier than to sit and stare and ponder while eating grass.

No ID tells me some shallow punk took his wallet while he was deceased, sad, really sad this Thai society in the touristy areas, I hope they get what Greece got back in the 90's, very few tourists because of their selfishness, sending many businesses against the walls.

It wasn't too long ago, last winter in England, people were taking selfies of a homeless man lying on the ground, frozen to death. Let's not get too precious about the superiour farang humanity.

From the Headline I assumed he was just drunk. RIP Bruh.

Thailand is tolerant. Staff probably just let him be thinking he would wake up and continue partying.

In US police would be called and risk of haul off to jail with a charge of public drunkenness, any resistance or mouthiness he could be shot and killed and that would be called “justifiable”.

I’ll stick with Thailand.

That alley is home to JP Bar....where all the freaks congregate....if you have seen it, you would know that a man slumped

by a pole is actually quite tame compared to the shit you see on that alley.

Right ! And look at that photo, we can see the sun. So when did it happen ? 5-6 AM ?

The JP bar is also full of junkies after 5AM. I'm pretty sure that most of the posters on this theread never seen the JP in early morning !

I miss the time when all bars/gogos/clubs had to close before 3AM, Pattaya is not Ibizza. When you are older than 40yo, at 2AM it's time to go home, not the time to drink more and more and more !!!

Dream on; most of the 'sweet young things' will exclaim 'you finish yet' after three minutes, as they want to get back on their phone !

Can anybody explain to me why after somebody is found dead, some members on here make cheap nasty remarks?

So man has died, nobody yet knows the reason, so please show some respect.

The members who get their kicks out of mocking a dead person, just stop and think, what would your family feel if it were you others were mocking.

R.I.P. you were to young to die.

In some places, you go and ask a guy in that position "are you ok?", you might get a fist to your face or knife to your chest. It would be a different story if he asked for help.

Yes , and theres also the problem that some people may think that you are involved .

If his drunk mates come around the corner and you are standing over him, they may think that you are responsible and attack you

In america he would be kicked or thrown out when he stopped buying drinks.  He wasn't taking a table space, so maybe some slack.  From his point - not a bad way to go.  quick & painless - he met both these 2 key requirements for a 'happy passing'

RIP Fella ,

A great shame that a fella is dead and posters are fighting over themselves for the best joke [emoji20]

Nobody knows this fella on here and nobody knows his story !!

He could be a loving family man who has hit hard times or someone enjoying a quiet drink on his own to contemplate his life !!

Truth is none of us knows his story and should show some compassion.

Hmmm! Alchohol poisoning might be a good place to start.

Got to say though that customer service at this bar sucks. Dead for 2 hours before anyone bothers to even check him?

thought of the bad old HEART ATTACK.

And not even an ounce of decency to cover his body. Lets just stand and gape.

It seems to be a very Asian thing.

Many years ago I was living in a beachside house in the north of the Philippines.Heard some shouting, a fishing boat came in and deposited a dead body on the beach.People with their children came from all over to stand there and watch.A body thats been in water for many hours is not a pretty sight.

I grabbed a blanket from my room and covered him and went back to phone the police .When I came back the blanket was gone and the crowd had grown larger.

I had a bit of a rant about "respect" which was ignored and my staff said its "normal" for people inc kids to watch.

2 hours is a bit long indeed - but it is nothing new if you see someone 'pissed out of his head' floored in that particular area.
