A policewoman in Hat Yai in Thailand's south complained to the media after she received a water bill for one month usage in a small room that came to more than 30,000 baht.

But Sub-Lt Sirikamon Wongsaroj may only have herself to blame after she failed to change the name on the bills when she sold the property.

Sirikamon received the final demand from the Region 5 waterboard for the period of October 2016 to June 2017. All the months were the usual average of about 150-200 baht except May 2017 that stated usage amounted to 30,641.59 baht.

Sirikamon explained to Daily News that she sold the small terraced property in 2014 but omitted to change the name on the water bill to the new owners.

The new owners were away and the property was empty during the bill cycle that the waterboard have sent to her.

Now the cop faces prosecution if she doesn't come up with 31,621.89 baht for someone else's water.

Daily News offered no explanation as to why a one month bill should be so high and did not report any contact with water board officials.

If she received the final demand then she must have been getting the actual monthly bills too..

Her own fault I would say for being too lazy to change the name..
