Tomorrow's headline: RID says flooding this year will be worst this century. Entirely based on the government saying no flooding in Phetchaburi, followed the next day by announcing flood evacuation plans.

connda
They should know, 'eh? FYI. The heavy flooding in 2011 didn't start until Oct - Nov of that year. We're not even close to the time of year when the monsoons bring the heaviest rainfall

Thailand
The 2011 flooding was at it's worst in Sept/Oct if I remember. Considering the long range weather forecast is rain almost everyday here in the north for the foreseeable future then the optimism may well come back and bite bums hard.
