It probably has to do with his upbringing.

That is a fair statement.

But he's not an idiot for wanting low interest rates.

I wonder if he is intentionally causing fluctuations in the markets after secretly buying and selling stocks, shares and currencies knowing what he say's will affect the markets.

Smart thinking. Trump is the kind of amoral operator who would have no qualms about such machinations at the expense of the population. A gangster.

And then this hypocrite accuses China of being a currency manipulator ?  He has worn out his welcome in my book

He's saying all the same stuff that he said as the $USD was strengthening recently. What's changed is what the BOT is saying.

Agreed.  He will move to strengthen the dollar when it is to his personal advantage (meaning his personal wealth); when he does be prepared to hear news of The Family laying out cash for a piece of foreign property.  Making America great again -- the more his net worth, the greater it gets.  Oh wait, his kids run the business, but he runs the kids.

"Wharton School of Business right here!"  That was nearly 50 years ago, you think he remembers any of that stuff?  Do think he cares?  The only signal of empathy we've seen from him regards the possibility of the son doing hard time.

Why is Trump the idiot?

If the reserve bank didn't raise interest rates, US citizens wouldn't have to pay more interest.

Evidently you are unaware, denying that ultra low interest rates by that hack Greenspan in part caused the 2008 financial crisis. By the way the best U.S. economy in recent history was with Clinton when rates were at 7 percent.

For 16 years it was Blame Bush.  Now it's Blame Trump.  LOL!

Blaming Trump for the things he's done and alleged to have done. So unfair!
