The man is asking how much Baht he can bring into Thailand. He isn’t talking dollars, pounds,or euro’s etc.

Since the limit is expressed in USD (10,000, as already said), it follows that the exact THB limit is going to fluctuate constantly in line with USD:THB exchange rate changes.

On the basis of the current Bangkok Bank buying rate for 50-100 USD bank notes, the current limit stands at 323,300 THB. But it will no doubt be different when Bangkok Bank next revise their exchange rates at 8.30 tomorrow morning.

As much as you have.

A million Euro is 2000 notes, easy in carry on

A common misconception that there is a limit for bringing in cash.

You should check the rules for your country of embarkment!

For most countries:

if the money is "clean" (proof of source) you don't have to fear any declaration at your border or in Thailand.

I thought I read last year The €500 euro notes were going to be removed from circulation soon but not sure if you can still order them

They were great for travelling , €20k fit in the wallet easily and avoid foreign atm fees and crap fx rates etc

The maximum amount in cash you can bring in Thailand in foreign currency, without declaring is US$ 20'000 .- (and not 10'000 as many have mentioned on the thread)

Above US$ 20'000,-- you must declare at customs on arrival at the Airport.

Unlimited, but over $20,000 USD (or equivalent) must be declared to Customs.

From IATA website. The Royal Thai Embassy website (Singapore) concurs...

Currency

Currency Import regulations:

Foreign currencies: unlimited. However, amounts of foreign currency exceeding USD 20,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared to a Customs Officer upon arrival by all travelers.
