rav Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Hello All I used up my 3 VOAs,So i got a cheap tiger airways flight to singapore and thought that id get a tourist visa issued at the embassy.They did issue me with one for 60 days but wrote in my passport the following.This person has had 3 VOAs and now has a 60 day tourist visa.We will not issue you another tourist visa.Why?? i checked at the immigration in phuket town and they told me that i could get tourists visas for ever! Does this mean that i cant get another tourist visa issued anywhere?will penang or KL refuse? Do i have to change my type of visa next time?? PLEASE HELP !!!!!! lopburi3 Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Immigration does not issue tourist visas so you go by what the Embassy/Consulate says and don't request another one there - at least for the time being. There is nothing preventing another Consulate from providing a tourist visa but they could refuse. If you have a valid, or semi-valid reason that does not involve illegal work you might want to make the Consulate aware of that when you apply.
