webfact Posted September 5, 2018 Share Posted September 5, 2018 Search for three troops continues in Nan River By The Nation Troops and officials resumed searches for the bodies of three soldiers who went missing when a racing boat sank in the Nan River in Nan's Muang district on Tuesday morning. The searches by troops from the 38th Army Circle and officials from other agencies resumed at 6am. On Tuesday, a racing boat of the Army Circle sank during a practice for the annual race. Most of 49 rowers managed to swim ashore but three of them went missing. They were identified as Privates Narong In-sai, Samphan Oonthin and Yutthapong Boonma. Nan governor Phaisarn Wimolrat has instructed all tambon administrative organisations downstream from the accident site to join the search. The operation on Wednesday was carried out by 60 officials on 14 boats while 120 more officials were dispatched to check downriver. webfact Posted September 6, 2018 Author Share Posted September 6, 2018 Bodies of two missing Nan troops found By The Nation Officials on Thursday found the bodies of two of the three soldiers who went missing when their racing boat sank in the Nan River in Nan's Muang district on Tuesday morning. Rescue workers of the Nan Provincial Administrative Organisation found bloated bodies of Privates Samphan Oonthin and Yutthapong Boonma near the Nan Pattana Bridge in front of the Suriyapong army camp. The bodies were sent for identification at the Nan Hospital. On Tuesday, a racing boat of the Army Circle sank during a practice for the annual race. Most of the 49 rowers managed to swim ashore but three went missing.
