It will be the end of the quiet coast of Prachuap, Chumphon..

In the future all the beaches will be crowded, noisy, dirty....

Bad news ?

yes i suppose the towns will become busier

however i live 15 km south of PKK next to a 6 km long beach no tourists now i guess none then.... no shops no car parking/ roads  no restaurants, yes a  beautiful beach but everything a Thai would hate

Build a light rail system first. Hua Hin desperately needs a light rail option to Bangkok. A proper light rail system would  do so much for the traffic congestion. South Korea has done it. So has Japan. If Thailand needs the expertise ask them. This could cut  travel time to 3 hours, and more importantly save hundreds of millions of baht  that would otherwise be lost to car crash property damage and bodily injury/death.
