Vespa scoots

I have both, A Yamaha Filano and a Vespa GTS, paid B51K in Thailand for the Yammy and B140K for the Vespa in the UK, the Vespa is a much, much nicer scooter to ride, handles and looks great.

Did long trips on both, the MHS loop on the Yamaha and UK-Portugal on the Vespa, both pretty easy, but now I love the 8km e/w ride through the twisties every morning to the shops to get bread and milk.

You decide whether it is worth the difference in dosh. You only live once.

Vespa made in Vietnam & hard to service.

Thai bikes are cheaper and can service anywhere.

Parts for Vespa are so expensive.
3800 baht just for a CVT belt.
Not unusual to leave a service 5000 baht lighter.

Everyone to there own rode both seemed no differences to me there just scoots, not much different to my 12 yr old  Airblade which I think is still a better ride but then I'm use to it. ?

Yeah makes no sense to me other than a tax rip off if you ask me, a front side body part for my Airblade 300 baht, service 250 bht.

ENI oil from Italy is what they use.
Isn't cheap either. I think it was 1200 baht for an oil change last time.

Doesn't help that the dealer network is small. Phuket has just one and they hold the monopoly to charge what they want.
