Unfortunately Thai's don't always see it that way and would likely blame the New Zealander  - If he wasn't in Thailand then this tragic event wouldn't have occurred.

where is the tragic event? this is Darwin theory working at it's best...

I drove 300+ km on what I think is one of Thailand dangerous roads on Sunday, route 212 we had over 50 mortorbikes coming towards us on the wrong side of the road, sometimes difficult to avoid them, many fid not have any lights, none had helmets, some were clearly underage, nobody followed yhe speed limits.  Police ??????? 555

Just wondering why you think this road is so dangerous

I often ride on here from Nakon Phanom up towards Bueng Kan and don't find it any more dangerous than many other roads here in Thailand

Will always find Thai idiots trying to kill you on any road,

No mention was made of compensation in the case or the fate of the New Zealander.

And how about compensation for the New Zealander?? And who'll pay for his car?

It''s amazing that this doesn't happen all the time in thailand because i see it all days long and the police.....oh i'm not in the mood to tell jokes right now..

Another life lost due to stupidity, the motorcyclist was 100% at fault.
What was he doing riding in the fast lane against oncoming traffic?
The dead mans family are not pursuing the case, it would be pointless anyway.

Unfortunately all lanes are fast lanes that’s a massive problem as weaving at high speed is the norm here.. although obviously not in this case as biker was in the wrong place entirely as it’s also the norm for bikes to be on near lane hugging the side , had he been their I suspect he would still be here!
