webfact
Damage limitation! Hospital in Rayong scurries after woman dumped from stretcher video screenshot A Rayong hospital has apologized to a woman - and given her a free room - after she was shown on video being dumped from a mobile stretcher. Sawaros Cholasiri, 41, had come in for high blood pressure. After the incident she could add a bad back and troublesome hip to her list of complaints. The video showed her being wheeled down a ramp towards outpatients - she then falls off as the stretcher is turned to the left. People rush to her aid and then wait for someone to lift her back on again. Sawaros told Daily News that she didn't want to make a big thing of it - but they really should take more care than this. She said that on Tuesday - three days after the incident - she had been given a special free room at the hospital. Rayong Hospital director Dr Chaisit Thepchatree apologized saying that the orderly wheeling the stretcher was new on the job and there was some construction going on making things difficult. He had reminded staff to be very careful so it doesn't happen again. Source: Daily News -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-09-
KMartinHandyman
He turned too soon, caught the wheel on the ramp curb. Where does the construction excuse play in?
marko kok prong
This used to happen all the time in the NHS i worked at Barnet general hospital, which back in the 80's was in a terrible state ,quite often a wheelchair or stretcher would hit a pot hole going to and outside ward, out would come the patient, being Brits off course they would grin and bear it. Made some compensation. (Free room.) End of. Life goes on. Shit happens.

They must do something out the *unday *port style headlines to avoid such ambiguities ..
ReMarKable
I don't know why these hospitals are built so the patients have to be transported outside on crappy sidewalks to go to another department. I don't believe these bed and wheelchair transport staff have any training either. At Bhumrungrad they had my wife's IV hanging so high above her transport bed, it nearly hit one the typical low hanging ceilings that abound in Thailand. If it had hit, the iv would have been torn out of her arm.
