Sukhothai / Mae Sot hotels or resort

A few years back we stayed at the Maison de Sukhothai. Not a resort, nor anything fancy but did nicely for a couple of days. Owner couldn't have been more helpful, speaks English and French. Were having some elderly guests and they found it comfortable and nice.

In Sukhothai there's hundreds of Resorts / Hotels / Guesthouses many are on the internet, they range from 150 to around 3500.

Maesot is a dump IMO but got there and asked a taxi driver and one of the hotels in the centre of town he took us to was OK that we stayed at.

Thanks for the info about Mae Sot.

I was planning a bike trip there, some of the roads and scenery look good...

Sukhothai village Muang Kao meaning ( Old City ) is the place to go,

Old City Guesthouse cheap and good, Legenda Hotel expense but velly nice. ????

Sureerat corner restaurant is the place to eat to save you looking for good fresh food.

Road to Maesot is Highway until after Tak into the mountains is great, roads are much improved but in some places work still going on.

Watch out debris fallen from hillsides onto road, branches and pot holes from water damage etc.

Ride to live and enjoy. ????
