Yes, the police said there’s no evidence and then threatened to arrest her and have her blacklisted. They also arrested several people for sharing the story. I’d say they have it in their minds that the rape didn’t happen.

It would have made more by leaving this story alone....none of the businesses want to see less tourism as news of a rapist and murderer on the loose is printed and fed to the world's media.

 

Also understandable to see locals and foreigners working in Koh Tao not wanting to see this....but the truth is what it is.....there have been terrible crimes committed on that island and it is happening time and again which is plain to see.

thats the problem, they are not happening or been committed time and time again, a death that wouldnt be much of headline is spun into a sensational fantasy from the samui times and their death island posse, there hasnt been any evidence given to prove anything they claim and they omit details and facts that disprove their BS, and are also preying on grieving parents and putting ideas in their heads and abusing others online that dont agree with them...what a nice bunch they are!!

I'm not sure how you sensationalise the rape and murder of a young woman and the murder of her friend on a paradise island when they are there to have fun and enjoy themselves.

 

If there were conclusive evidence pointing to the certainty that the two Burmese committed the crime beyond two forced confessions since retracted no one would be questioning it now.

 

The current rape allegation is clearly taken seriously enough to send officers to the UK to hear her story so let's wait and see what they have discovered.

We wouldn’t be taking about Samui Times without all this manufactured drama and controversy. It’s one of countless small websites and blogs out there. 

 

Can you name withiut looking the biggest Phuket and Chiang Mai websites? Probably not as they aren’t nearly as sensationalist. 

 

It’s also more than just money as such websites don’t make a fortune. It’s about power, control, and a personal agenda.

Any death can be suspicious if one keeps asking more questions and refuses to believe the answers. That’s the unfortunate case with KT, especially with the agenda being pushed by Samui Times that tricks a lot of people into believing disinformation.

Yes, it’s all on the Samui Times. But it was The Times Newspaper who recorded the girl saying she tried to report the rape on Kho Pangan but the police officer there refused to do so. Samui Times fault? It must be......

What the Times reported and her interview was objective and factual. 

 

Look at ST’s first article by comparison. They posted about a rape and posted photos of a man they suggest was the rapist, one who they said was shown holding a hoe at the scene of the murders. This was completely untrue, it was a different person. 

 

ST was immediately jumping to the conclusion that not only was she raped, not only was it a Thai, but also it one was one of the people who they think was involved in the murders. They immediately linked it to their murder conspiracy. 

 

ST has a history of doing this and they don’t retract or correct stories. That creates a huge amount of confusion when people Google to get info on these cases.

This thread is about an alleged rape of a young English girl. Not the murder of Hannah and David. Go and discredit news sources on the relevant threads.
