Just wondering if I get Thai citizenship, can I still call myself an Expat?

Maybe I'll have to leave expat forums :cheesy:

I'm actually on an expat forum on social medis where most members by a long way are Thai!

Somebody chopped out the pic with the explanation.....

"Emperor" Norton was born in UK...Raised in South Africa....Then went to San Francisco declaring himself the sovereign Emperor of the US and "Protector of Mexico" in 1859....Issuing decrees & proclamations.....Some of which did come true - though not because of him.....

Quite the colorful character & the toast of the town....

10,000 people lined the streets for his funeral....

Being a Thai citizen doesn't change the fact that you're from your mother land. Nothing will ever change that, for me anyway, even though I have the greatest respect and gratitude to Thailand, for making me a citizen of their great country.

The reverse is also true I'm sure.
