webfact
Tourists begin to enjoy cool weather in Chiang Mai, Bueng Kan CHIANG MAI, 8th October 2018 (NNT) – Tourists both domestic and international have begun to flock to Chiang Mai’s famous Doi Inthanon to enjoy its cool temperatures, which have dipped to as low as 7 degrees Celsius. Tourists have been thronging to Doi Inthanon in Jom Thong district of Chiang Mai province, which is now experiencing temperatures of between 7-15 degrees Celsius and morning mist. The mountain’s Kew Mae Pan view point has proven particularly popular with its average temperature of 11-17 degrees Celsius. Travelers to the cliff are urged to use their headlights as it is densely foggy during the morning hours. Phu Singh in Bueng Kan province of the northeast has also begun to attract tourists to its Tham Rusee, or hermit’s cave, and Hin Sam Wal, or three whales rock. Due to the area being a popular choice to see the sunrise over Lao PDR, the authorities have provided tents and created camping areas for visitors. -- nnt 2018-10-

Burma Bill
I have just returned from Chiang Mai and the weather was sunny and hot, especially in the city. The view from Doi Suthep was quite spectacular and clear, just a little heat haze but no smoke.
