webfact Posted October 10, 2018 Share Posted October 10, 2018 Two injured as fire engulfs workers’ digs in Phitsanulok By The Nation Two construction workers were injured in a fire that swept through their makeshift living quarters in Phitsanulok early Wednesday. Wang Thong district police got the call at 12.37am and summoned fire-fighters to the residential compound in Moo 15, Tambon Mae Raka. It took about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Banjob Jom-u, 49, and his wife, Ratanamanee Jom-u, 50, suffered burns to their arms and torsos when they were attempting to retrieve valuables from the flames. Property owner Manat Polsawang, 65, said he’d hired workers to build a house on the site and let them live there while construction progressed. He said the fire started in a storage room and spread to their living quarters, but the cause remains unknown.
