How easy, or difficult, is it to register a trademark in Thailand?

Any recommended companies for doing it?

TIA.

Yesterday I had 4 quotes back from just Googling companies that varied between 25,000 & 50,000 in professional fees with government fees on top of that.

Plus a TV member sent a PM offering to help, still waiting for info on that...

Would be good to get some feedback on the process from people that have done it, any banana skins they encountered etc.

TIA.

I have done about 6 trademarks in the US and one in Thailand.

Thailand was easy but maybe because I have done trademarks before in the US?

Basically you fill out a form in Thai (a friend can help a lawyer is not needed) and file it at the Thai commerce department maybe a 500 baht fee not sure as it wasn't much so I have forgotten.

If your trademark is complex or you need an extensive search and legal advice go see a trademark lawyer otherwise do it yourself.

If you are looking for free advice, go with what Traveller East West is saying. Most members here are looking for free advice and I apologize but our law firm will need to charge you. Your first message was looking for companies who do it but now it seems you want to do it by yourself. Anyways, I’ve PMd you again with our fee so if you are serious about wanting a law firm to do this case, call me back to arrange a meeting.

Habe a nice day.

The process is not normally complicated at all any business person can do it.

If you do have a problem just contact the Bangkok office and they will give you help.

But if you have a very complex case the use a specialist lawyer.
