They were rowing in the outside lane of Sukhumvit road heading towards Rayong. As they grappled on the tarmac a pick-up hit them both killing them instantly. Then a car ran over the bodies. The carnage was caught on grainy CCTV footage and shown on Thai TV. Two friends who had been with the couple out drinking had left them to their argument and gone to some toilets nearby. They emerged from the toilets to see their friends in pieces all over the road. Sunita Janthai, 21, said they had all been going home at 3am after drinking. They were all on one motorcycle. The dead were named as 37 year old Bunphiang Torthaisong from Sattahip and 23 year old Tawat Jitraman from Sisaket. Police are looking for the pick-up and car that fled the scene of the accident at KM marker 175 outside the Fai Fan dental clinic. If people could trust the police and justice, I presume the driver would have stopped.
