Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Bt9.6m bicycle lane ends up as roadside parking space

Recommended Posts

The key point is that the hole beachfront road needs to have a full concept with nice walking area with plants plus a boulevard for cars to make it attractive. As only very few cyclists use this road change it to a walking area so people do not think about making use of the space for parking.

Following complaints from local residents that they could not ride in the bike lane, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan police station chief Pol Colonel Chayinthorn Sukhonthorn on Tuesday said no action could be taken against motorists who parked in the lane.

Just classic!

I despair for the country!    traffic rules, common sense, don't seem to exist.

My friend's Thai wife who speaks excellent English says that there is no such concept in the Thai language for common sense.......

Put metal posts on both side of the lane with spacing enough for a bike

They did that here in Nong Khai, The villagers removed the posts.

Good, I am happy. There are too many bicycle lanes along with too many bus lanes all over the world. Most of the time they are unused.

My wife told me it should be put on FaceBook, after a few days and 300 000 views police will change their mind telling they cannot do anything

They don’t care if Thai people have something that will benefit them-just waste money and destroy to show power

I've said it once before and I'll say it again - Thai 4.0, when did they get to Thai 1.0?!

Sheesh (and shakes head). :coffee1:
