Finlaco
Chaengwattana Immigration – Extension of a SETV I arrived at 12:50 (7th Nov) and when the doors re-opened at 13:00, the whole process took 22minutes with both Immigration Officers (females) being unusually polite. There has been a big change in their system for the (automatic) processing of the 30-Day extension of an S.E.T.V, and the previous 2.5 to 3-hour wait seems to be no more.

edwardandtubs
I can confirm it's much quicker now than it was earlier in the year. The procedures and staff numbers don't seem to have changed though so it may just be because of the decline in the number of tourists. The only difference is the word tourist is now printed with the stamp instead of the number 24 being handwritten. Because they did not use a Thai passport for entry to the country. The clause is for returning Thai nationals that do not have a house book registry and thusly no ID card or passport.
asdfrules
Wow it took over 4 hours for me a couple weeks ago! I arrived around 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 25. I think my queue number was around 279 and the queue was still around 100.

To apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife, she needs to be with you, marriage certificate (plus a copy), a copy of her house book registry and ID card.
