Police said Pol Cpl Afnan Yadaha, 25, died at the Yaha district hospital at 11pm. Afnan and a team of policeman from the Yaha police station were checking a house in Ban Pulae village in Tambon Baro at 9.30pm after they received complaints that a group of teenagers were having a kratom drinks party at the house. When the teenagers saw police, they ran out of the house in several directions. Afnan followed a group before one of the suspects opened fire on him.
