I’m sure the only burden will be deciding which meat factories to sell the animals to...

The seems like an exercise by those in positions of decision making power to ‘pull the wool over their own eyes’...

.....no one wants to send a load of living creatures to their deaths, but a problem needs resolution...

... The solution.. allow corruption to take hold, turn a blind eye to those selling the dogs to meat factories etc...  claim shock & outrage if the truth gets out on social media...

Against Buddhism to kill animals? Except when Buddhists want to eat animals.

Send them to a pound with 8,000 dogs? Like some wretched prison, where they can be even more miserable.

How about making a decision and euthanasing these unwanted dogs, and then enacting some preventive measures.

And remind those who complain that they had many chances to adopt these animals (with the consequent costs and commitment).

There is a lovely pond in the Chinese quarter of Udon Thani that has 3000 koi carp in it. Surely this is no different to the compound.

Creatures are there for us humans to enjoy.

Some of the dogs in the pic are quite cute. Just like Battersey dog home.

Vietnam gets my vote, but Cambodia and Laos will also be just fine.
