Thai Font on Mac

I have 2 MacBook's. Different versions of MacOS but both are running the exact same updated version of MS Word. When I open a Word document on the 2nd laptop, the font displays incorrectly with overlapping lines. Any idea what's going on? I've compared every setting I can find and everything is the same. I thought maybe it was a line spacing issue but the "Format-Paragraph-Line Spacing" settings are the same. See screenshots below for the difference.

Edit: I'm using BrowalliaUPC. I copied the font from laptop 1 to laptop 2 just to make sure I'm using the exact same font. Still have the same problem.
