How is it that the Thai police are always able to get the suspects to point at their crime scene? Is that part of the plea deal? "Ok if you don't point at this and look like a miserable criminal we'll double your sentence"

I Think it's Purely A Thai Thing........

The reality they understand is tourists go home. Mush less to worry about. If the television, vacuum etc... belong to the rental property I am sure the landlord will be asking the tenants to replace the items. He will blame the tenants for the loss. Police/Thai courts need to get really tough on repeat offenders. 15 years.

Many tourists bring Mitsubishi Tritons, 55 inch TVs, floor speakers, vacuum cleaners, lighting systems with them on holiday.

The Triton appears to have been used by the thieves - there is no indication it belonged to either house.  Police always impound vehicles used in crimes.  Most tourist rentals include furnishings.
