DrJack54
Maybe I misinterpreted recent comments (on Thaivisa and elsewhere) about return to unlimited VE entries. I live bkk 6 years have the annual extension based on retirement. I am never in Thailand for more than 30days. (Saigon every 4 weeks for weekend, also many other joints). So my question, I just did my annual review and reentry permit. Together with the 800k etc. Why do that if I can just use visa exempt ongoing. Think the extension was 1900 and reentry 3800. Also waste of dosh in Thai bank. Am I missing something?
ubonjoe
That has not been approved yet and was only for land border crossings where visa exempt entries are limited to 2 per calendar year now and it was only going to be for a 2 month trial of it. Best to keep your extension of stay of based upon retirement to avoid having problems.
steve187
immigration will not be happy that you will be living here full time on visa exempt entries with short trips out the country, you are on the correct method of staying with the yearly extension, its 6000 baht a year
