webfact
Watch out for nails in the Hua Hin trash after Loy Krathong Picture: Daily News A tourist to Hua Hin posted pictures on Facebook of the mess left after the Loy Krathong celebration at the Thai resort. Of particular concern at Khao Takiap beach was a large number of nails used to make the little boats that were floated in the sea last Thursday evening. "Fon Vorapan" warned people of the danger and called on the authorities to stop people floating their Krathongs in the sea in future. Daily News said that it was a problem that surfaced, literally, every year. Source: Daily News -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-11-
taichiplanet
Idiots! It also bewilders me that people use staples to close lids on food containers and bags; I wonder how many kids have swallowed them while tucking in to their favourite kanom. marko kok prong
I said this very thing the other day,all the stuff floated down rivers and such like will end up in the ocean, look at the state of this beach, okay they floated out to sea, have they not heard that when the tide changes it comes back in,and do nails really have to be used,it should be banned in my opinion. observer90210
But how about establishing a proper municipal cleaning service on the beaches with appropriate heavy load hardware sweeping/cleaning beach sand trucks ? (like the world class beaches in Southern Europe) .... problem would be solved...
