Grow a beard - tired of rosacea, razor rash, heat rash, allergy rash

I gave up on growing a beard because it grew through grey and white, not the least bit 'hansum'.

In any case, I'm very happy that I seem to identified the root cause of my skin rash.  I still have slightly pink cheeks, but use concealer to cover these up (I teach online, so the use of a small amount of concealer to take the years off my face is acceptable to me).

Last week, a new student said I looked about the same age as her dad (she offered this comment without prompting).  Then she told me her dad was 40 years old....

Obviously, I now award her top marks for all her scholarly efforts ????

Get down of that high perch. Who gives a toot as to what others think. You do if for yourself.

It was said as a joke (exclamation marks should have given you a clue)........but in saying that, I, myself, don't like white beards!!!

I often read someone wrote "seeking medical advice on the forum is not a good thing to do", not the exact words but similar. You should go and see a doctor they said.

When they wrote something like this they don't know what they are talking about. It is precisely because I had gone to see quite a number of doctors and it didn't help at all so I went on the forum hoping someone having similar condition had successfully got the answer to the problem.

What I am talking here is about my own skin condition. It itches and small pimples like things came up . Over the years I had to suffer this mainly over the upper arm, back and chest. It is not acne.

I also came across an old lady who had skin problem for many many years until one day someone on the forum told her of similar condition and how to deal with it. Well she had already spent lots of money on doctors and finally this advice from someone on the forum helped her to get rid of the problem. Her problem was different from mine but we search the answer from forum discussing skin problems.

My problem was solved by eating lots of lard(pig's fat) . A part from that I try if possible to totally avoid highly processed oil e.g. sunflower oil, soya bean oil, corn oil and of course margarine or any hydrogenated fats.

I eat lots of pig fats too in the meat and pig's skin as well(cook till soft).

Guess what? The itch has stopped almost completely . The skin improved 95 percent. Such simple remedy without medication without any consultation fees. Without wasting time at the waiting room of skin specialists.(my skin specialist drives a Mercedes Benz- you can see his car parked at the parking lot that says "Do not block, Doctor parking Lot") Medications is not cheap that is why the Mercedes is sitting in the parking lot.

There is something in the pork fats that heals I don't know what it is .

I hope you could find the answer to your rashes and have a good shave without any problem.

  • 4 weeks later...

There's this spray from Korea... spray it on, leave 15 minutes, and all the hair just falls off. It's 450 baht per can on Lazada, and can work all over the body.

Haven't tried it myself but they claim that after several uses hair basically doesn't return, and is thinner after every use.

O-something... O-Derma... something like that.

Well, I guess you are in good company then. Enjoy the hair! I had one for many, many years. I still remember moving to NYC in the early 1980's. I was a pretty good looking, younger guy. I befriended this rather gorgeous woman. One day we were eating lunch together within a week of moving there. She asked me if I ever planned on getting laid. I said what do you mean? She said it is never, ever going to happen with that atrocious thing on your face! It looks like you have a nice face, but I cannot see it! I went home and shaved. The rest of my time in NYC was joyful, and they really responded to me being relatively clean shaven. I have met few women who love bodily hair, much less facial hair. But, to each his own.
