Three teens arrested with 4 million meth pills, 600 kg of 'ice' in Lampang

By The Nation

Police arrested three teenagers after they stopped two pickup trucks at a road checkpoint in Lampang's Mae Prik district and seized 4 million methamphetamine pills and 600 kilograms of crystal meth on Friday night.

Police said the three suspects were among four who abandoned their pickup trucks and ran into the village where the checkpoint was set up on the Mae Prik-Lampang-Sam Ngao road. The other suspect managed to escape.

Police spotted three pickups speeding toward the checkpoint and managed to block two vehicles while the other sped away towards Sam Ngao district in Tak.

Police checked the two pickups and found the meth pills in 15 bags and the 600 kg of "ice" in 16 bags.

Using teenaged mules.  Catch and release at 18 years of age.  Make your money young with less down-side risk.  Nice haul, but the cops are only shaving ice off the tip of the iceberg.  Can we expect Netflix Narcos Myanmar - Season 10 - Ice, ice baby.  Probably not.  The host government needs to want to eradicate the problem or at least pretend like they want to eradicate the problem.  Who wants to kill the goose that lays the icy golden egg in a multi-billion dollar industry?  And expect to see more teenaged Ice mules.
