Ducati service is shocking, they're basically only interested in sales, like so many other things here, after sales is non existent. I know one of the girls quiet well who looks after me, only ever use the authorised dealer in BKK not these satellite franchises in KK / Pattaya / CM / Korat etc. They can just about stumble through a service, nothing else and yes the lead times on spares are outrageuous BUT that's what you have to put up with for driving a premium bike in this country, PCX never fails ( but i feel like a sheep on it ). My big concern is , the quality of the repair work will totally depend on the skill of the mechanic doing the job! Ie , will surfaces be totally cleaned, will head bolts be torqued to manufacturers specs, will new hose clips be used to replace factory crimped ones etc etc! At this time, until the top end is stripped a cracked head/ porous head can not be ruled out! We are very frustrated that the manager Barcelona BMW ignores our emails. No further comment from Motorrad BMW Bangkok. It seems no one seems to give a stuff regarding customer service. Is this a good way to conduct business, and get repeat custom, I think not! To be fair, word of mouth has it, that the dealership will give an extended warranty on the work. Again , this is a truly awesome bike for a vertically challenged person. However we simply do not expect to be treated like this, by a supposedly premium brand like BMW. I don't know any country that would give a replacement vehicle for this reason. Motor vehicles seem to be the exception to the refund/replacement rule, usless the fault is serious and failure continues. Get it fixed and see how it goes, my guess is a loose bolt or two, maybe a faulty air tool/supply on the production line, or similar. Don't worry I know planty of people who have had bigger troubles from BMWs... and Mercs...Hondas, Toyotas, etc....production techiniques are pretty universal these days....so its only a badge. I thought you said production techniques are the same for all (and hence should have same quality more or less) and my point was that they are not the same at all, hence why you have pretty big quality differences between the brands. But you agree on that so I'm a bit confused.

d4291797
Good! So except from this problem, which is hopefully something of the past, how do you like your new bike?Ok I have had a serious variety of bikes, over the years.Being vertically challenged has always been an issue! Also dealing with weight!I absolutely love this bike!Comfortable, enough grunt for mountain roads around CNX for sure!Handling is amazing, just loves corners, very planted.Good brakes, plus not a bad pad for a Thai co pilot!Previous bike was an MT07, this has on less grunt, but way more fun.I would buy anouther 310R in a heartbeat! The fit and finish of the bike is outstanding. The only thing built to a price, is the non adjustable levers. Now Barcelona have a red one, looks stunning!Cheers.Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

I have a KTM Duke 390 and I saw the MT07 next to me at a junction. And I thought: That bike is about the same size as mine, maybe I should have bought a MT07. But I didn't check any further because my bike is new and I won't buy a new one anytime soon. It's good, at least for me, that in your experience the MT07 is not that great.
