Jimmy Reed - Jimmy's Boogie [1953]

Jimmy Reed was one of the biggest but least acknowledged influences on western popular music...I managed to see him at the Golden Bear folk club in Huntington Beach before he died...he was playing a 'silvertone' electric six string from Sears during his performance...

he recorded a little known song with his wife as lead singer that went

sometimes stumblin', fallin' down

almost level wid de groun'

lawd I've done the best I can an I want my crown...

words to live by...no reward, no crown just the expected misery and sufferin'...

Jimmy and Jesus knew what was happenin'...
