I think I saw Donovan for $1 once. '72 or so. It was a concert at Madison Square Garden which apparently didn't sell too well, and on the same day as the show the fellow on the radio said a certain charity was giving the tickets away for a $1 donation, provided you got to their offices before 6pm. Me and the then-missus went for it. Anyway, we expected the office to be mobbed -- it wasn't. Our seats were real close to the stage. The Garden is a terrible place for music if you're up in the bleachers. When the Fillmore East opened in 1968 tix were $3, $4 and $5. First show I saw there was Jeff Beck. That would be the one to post anything from 80's on. You can post whatever you like, even pre-80's, there. Keep posting here, though. She was gorgeous. And a sweet person. Told me that Traffic was originally a love quadrangle, and Mason couldn't handle it. It then became a triangle. I have the impression "Every Mother's Son" is about that. I found out not long ago that Steve Miller was the godson of Les Paul.
