Apart from cl runners up,league cup runners up finished runners in the league as well and un beaten at home..not bad for an underqualified nobody....a little bit better than both Scolari and Avb

MrTrip
We’re NOT winning the Europa league. Not a chance while we keep churning out these mediocre performances.Today is our only chance at silverware this season and it’s a bloody small chance indeed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

keithsimmonds
This is going to come down to both Pedro and Willian imo...they help out/protect mainly Dave more than Emerson then we are in with a shout....i,m hopeful Bench looks strong though. Popular Post Bredbury Blue
Thought chelsea played us well. 1st half stifled us. 2nd half was yours - City were terrified every time Hazard had the ball or chased the ball down. Extra time we got better. I thought it had your name on the cup and your goalie was going to be the hero. Knowing Willy, was so happy he didn't come on for the penalties.

How shocking was all of that! Initially looked like a misunderstanding, then it looked like your goalie was refusing to come off as Sarri and Zola wanted. Looked for a moment that Sarri was going down the tunnel he was so pissed off. Surely the goalie will be disciplined by Sarri. For anyone who thinks the League Cup doesn't matter they should see yesterday's game as evidence that it clearly does. I for one would much prefered to have won it!

keithsimmonds
For a game that was 0-0 for 120+minutes,i thought it was great entertainment. Willian played really well imo if he played like that every week then i would have no problems with him.....but he don,t !!! Pedro as with every game he plays, gets at least one really good chance and thuckks it up.....tat ta. Jorhinio ....didn,t really know he was playing for most of the match....apart from that fully expected twattish challenge of his......foxtrot Oscar. Dave was a bit more disciplined.....thank gawd, but he and Pedro allowed the players down there side far too much space to work in yet again. Barkley as ever can always be relied upon to give the ball away in dangerous area,s.....if only there was a brain inside that square head of his. Kante and Hazard were excellent,if Alonso got a 5 year contract then Emerson should get 10 years. Luiz and Rudiger were good......Kepa should have gone off when told....end of. In Sarri speak Hudson Odoi did well but....he does have to work on his defensive side. We play like we did in the second half, but score goals and......the worlds our lobster.imho

There have to be consequences. If not what a ridiculous precedent. If it was me, he wouldn't play another game this season. A disgraceful exhibition of insubordination by a so called professional. It was all about him and not the team. He'd collapsed twice with cramp and a penalty shoot out was looming. We didn't, on the face of it, want a half fit goalkeeper between the posts. Sarri's under enough pressure without his histrionics, blatantly undermining his manager's and Zola's authority in front of millions of television viewers Personally, I was desperate for Caballero to come on, because I could just see the headlines! It's not like he's two bob at saving penalties as he showed in the 2016 final against Liverpool. Sarri was very diplomatic after the match calling it a "misunderstanding", obviously under orders from above to keep the peace. It took the gloss off a very good team performance with some decent and timely substitutions (for once) by Sarri. However, I put the team's commitment and desire down to the fact that this was a Final, and a winner's medal was the prize for these players. Back to the day to day business of the Premier League, Sarri is by no means, out of the woods. 5

Strange that CHO could be "trusted" to come on in a Wembley final against arguably the best team in the country so soon after he couldn't start at home against one of the worst teams in PL history, indeed one that had won only two of their previous 24 PL matches this season and had picked up just one point out of the previous 33 available.
