Rimmer
Subsided Soi Khao Noi repaired PATTAYA:--Nongprue public works crews repaired a section of Soi Khao Noi that had subsided due to repeated flooding. Heavy machinery and workers ripped up the road in front of the Pattaya Hill 2 development Nov. 29 to pour in new concrete to lift the road to the same level as drainage pipes. Sub-district Councilman Metasit Somla said several parts of Soi Khao Noi – which often resembles roaring rapids after heavy rains – had collapsed, pushing drainage pipes through the road’s surface. The result has been numerous accidents and real peril to motorcyclists. The road was reopened in about three days. -- © Copyright Pattaya Mail 2018-12-

mikebell
3 days work! They've just cut out some old concrete & put in new. The real problem lies further down stream with inadequate drainage. Now if they want to improve the lives of locals, how about getting TOT to provide a proper service so my internet TV doesn't stall EVERY weekend and EVERY school holiday. Not just TOT, 3BB has been poor in the recent past in that area. From having excellent service for many years there are been major outages for 2/3 weekends in past couple of months. Last weekend it was off from early Saturday to mid-day Monday. Fingers crossed for this weekend. As for the roadworks. definitely needed as there were some dangerous uneven sections in that area (opposite Murphys). But, yes, the lower part of Khao Noi turns into a raging torrent with any downpour, despite the fairly recent drainage upgrade.
