rooster59 Posted December 8, 2018 Share Posted December 8, 2018 More than 1 million meth pills seized, one arrested in Phatthalung By The Nation Army troops and police arrested a suspect and seized 1.1 million methamphetamine pills and 28 kilograms of crystal meth in Phatthalung's Kong Lar district on Friday. Fourth Army Area commander Lt Gen Pornsak Poolsawat and Phatthalung governor Kukiart Wongkraphan held a press conference to announce the drug seizure and arrest. Troops and police raided the house of Samrerng Ruiwichit, 45, a former member of Tambon Charat Municipality, and found 1.06 million meth pills and 27kg of crystal meth. Samrerng fled by the time authorities arrived. Authorities searched the second house in the same compound and found 42,000 more meth pills and 1kg more crystal meth. Samreng's younger brother, Porawit Ruiwichit, 43, was arrested at the second house. Police raided the two houses in Phatthalung after border patrol police in Nakhon Si Thammarat's Sichon district earlier arrested a suspect and seized 60,000 meth pills and 8kg of crystal meth. The suspect implicated Samrerng, saying he bought the drugs from him.
