TRIPOLI/BENGHAZI, Libya (Reuters) - Libya is shutting down production at its biggest oilfield after tribesmen and state security guards seized the El Sharara facility, field engineers and protesters said on Sunday, but there was no confirmation from state oil firm NOC.

Pachyderm blocks road in Khao Yai

A bull elephant in rut from Khao Yai National Park apparently searchi0ng for its mate blocked the road in Prachin Buri on Sunday and looked likely to attack tourists’ cars, prompting park officials to use their vehicles as buffers between the aggressive male and tourists until the former eventually retreated into the forest.

Two dead, six injured as cargo container crashes into MPV in Loei

Two people were killed and six others seriously injured when the Toyota Avanza seven-seat MPV they were travelling in collided with a wheeled cargo container, which had dislodged from a 28-wheel truck heading in the opposite direction, and then crashed into a roadside tree in Loei on Monday morning.

Seven Chinese charged over using fake passports in test-taking scam
