PATTAYA:--Immigration police arrested two Ugandan women accused of working as prostitutes.

They were processed for deportation.

"Ugandan discussions" is a euphemism for sex coined during the early 1970s by the satirical British magazine "Private Eye".

The basis of the term arose at a party in London hosted by Neal Ascherson at which Irish moralist and journalist Mary Kenny, during her early, wild phase, spent some time upstairs with a former Ugandan government minister. On rejoining the other guests, Kenny explained their absence by saying they were "upstairs discussing Uganda."

They're accused of prostitution!  So, why were they processed for deportation!

Accusing somebody doesn't mean they are guilty, although they are black, and this IS Thailand.

There must be thousands of Thai women having the same 'occupation' in this city. Why don't they arrest them?

They do round them up quite regularly, fined a few hundred baht  their details recorded and then let go obviously they can't be deported.

I can't  remember ever reading about a Thai woman being jailed for prostituting herself.. procuring others yes.

They do, regularly. Round-ups of Beach Road girls and ladyboys who are soliciting is a regular event. Unlike their Ugandan sisters, however, Thais cannot be deported.

Edit: just seen your post johng. Great minds...

Good for thailand! Look at what being politically correct has done to Europe.

Thais do as they please and if they want blacks hookers out then they are out!

You really think they were standing on the corner for hours because they were tourists?

And why did the others run? Or maybe they were jogging for exercise
