The Department of Special Investigation carried out a nationwide sweep in twelve provinces.

Operation Leopard was carried out to flush out people possessing and sharing indecent images of children.

Eight arrests were made in eight provinces - in custody are a British man, an Australian, an Italian, a Frenchman and four Thais.

Taken into evidence were seven computers, phones, hard drives, a tablet and two routers.

The DSI are investigating the matter as a possible contravention of human trafficking legislation.

All the men are in custody as investigations continue and the search widens, reported INN.

how about ''operation do your job'', or ''operation get off your fat ass'' shall I continue

No less dramatic, and police forces everywhere use the term operation when conducting sensitive

Investigations, they also include a random word, in this case leopard.

musk isnt completely misguided then. certainly is a fair number of these weirdos caught regularly.

Can happen anywhere in the world , and it does. I happen to live in Thailand , Musk comments does not help in that regard.,

I believe there are literally 10's of thousands of pedophiles in or who visit Thailand.

Thai and foreigners.

One thing this story does is verify the fact that Thais get caught and arrested also, as opposed to the many  posts saying they never arrest Thais for these crimes.

Don't know how they found them and don't care either. Hope they round up any others these scum have been sharing these images with and throw the whole damn lot in jail for a long time.

Most of them are caught by Thai police only after all the information has been packaged, wrapped in a bright ribbon and given to them from serious cybercrime units around the world working in coordination with each other and also with Europol, FBI, Interpol and other organizations who care about child welfare.

The Thai police then swoop like eagles for the photo opportunity and have no problem with international crime fighters solving the cases as long as they can take the credit.

Many of these criminals are on watch lists and get caught when they start sharing their files and such. They think because they are a long way from their home countries they can evade capture, hankers back to the days of swirly-face who thought he could outsmart the computer crime busters.

It is exactly why Musk said what he did, because Thailand has a reputation for child sex. Other countries too, of course. The problem for Musk, and what has landed him in court, is that he used a stereotype of the country to name and accuse an innocent man who risked his life for others. Big mistake. Very big mistake. How is someone so stupid worth so much money? Doesn't seem right or fair to me.

The "word" is never ... random!

Leopard is too majestic for this scum, perhaps rename the operation Weasel?

Funny you have this thought too , so often when referring to ISIS acting alone they use the term ''lone wolf'' , a discredit to such an amazing animal. I wish they would use ''lone losers'' or ''lone loons'' or just''loner''...have a good day sir

Thailand has this reputation for good reason, when I came to live in Thailand six years ago I mostly frequented Jomtien Complex, one day I discovered Sunee plaza and there was a bar where 3-4 guys aged 14-15 were running around, heavily under the influence of Yaba, and some hell ugly ladyboy was the mamasan there, doesn't require a lot of imagination what they were doing there.

When I went to another bar and brought it to discussion they said yeah it's just a boy bar same like any other ???? bar has been closed since, don't think it lasted long but if it's so openly presented than you know that Thailand deserves this reputation and it's nothing like any other country in the world, at least I've never seen something like this anywhere in the world and I visited plenty of places.
