Any Bangkok photographers want to hang out Nye?

I've decided not to waste money drinking and eating expensive food, or doing something stupid like paying $300 to go up to the top of the mahanakhon building.

 

I've always considered New year's Eve to be amateur night anyway since I can go out and get totally blasted a lot cheaper on October third or on a Tuesday night in November. 

 

But I guess they're having a major fireworks performance on the river, and there are several venues where you can catch them. I am looking at those right now on the map, and I'm wondering if there is anyone else thinking of going out the camera to take pictures of the spectacle. If so, would you like to hook up, in a decent manly way of course, with tripods and all that sort of stuff.
