That is usually a bit of a hassle with desktops but for met that is a small price to pay compared to the advantages a desktop has over a laptop. He is Thai but speaks excellent English and if needed he will send a motorcycle taxi to pick it up and send it back after the repairs. I have used him for six years and he has been great. robblok Posted January 2, 2019 Share Posted January 2, 2019 Muffy, I don't know how much money you have or how much your willing to spend but if you have a bit of money to spare i would buy a 250 GB SSD and let a computer specialist put your windows on it and run from that. This would certainly help a lot with speed issues and at the same time the guy can look for the other existing problems. Usually an SSD harddrive will help old computers a lot performance wise. You can even go to the shops like JIIB in the malls they make PC's to spec too. I buy my stuff at invade IT and assemble the stuff myself. That works good for me.
