webfact
Normal life resumes in Songkhla after Pabuk passes through By The Nation File photo : Songkhla Life has returned to normal in Songkhla following tropical storm Pabuk, which swept across the Southern region at the end of last week. Some 200 schools and universities in Ranode, Krasaesin, Satingphra, Singhanakhon, Chana and Tepa and Muang districts resumed classes on Monday after suspending them on Thursday as the storm swept through. The schools will organise extra tuition to compensate for time lost during the storm. Meanwhile fishing vessels, both big and small, anchored at Songkhla’s main port will resume operations today. Fishermen were seen cleaning their vessels and preparing them for the sea. The weather department forecasts that rain will affect about 30 per cent of the area today and a wave height of 1 to 2 metres.
